That's because more than half of this is St Croix (The Buccaneer Hotel) and some is St Thomas (Carib Beach, at Lindbergh). All you see of St John is two shots of Cruz Bay and a lot of the brand new and barren Caneel. Date is 1959 +/- 1 year.
Re: Great Video
Wow...50 years later and so much still remains the same as far as what brings people there & keeps them coming back...The lure of the island..the laid back feel, the hospitality, and the beautiful views....Relaxing, boating, visiting with friends and having a drink...A chance to get a way and really take it slower..Love it.

Thanks, Hugo!! While watching, I kept thinking, where is that on STJ???? Fun video though, I particularly liked the guy "regaining" his strength after fishing!!!!
Re: Great Video
True dat, Hugo....but at the end of the film, I noticed it was done by "Mid West Production" They probably didn't think anybody in Kansas would notice......hugo wrote:That's because more than half of this is St Croix (The Buccaneer Hotel) and some is St Thomas (Carib Beach, at Lindbergh). Still, a very interesting concept on a producer's point of view of "St. John".
