Does anyone know if it is still free to check a box of alchol on to the planes out of STT

there is a liquor store inside the terminal, the alcohol is a few dollars more than in town but well worth it. you can buy it there and carry it on the plane with you. this is much easier than buying in town and carrying it around with you.

We check our bottles twice since the ban. The first time, they never made it to the plane before they were stolen. Delta had to admit that they never got on the plane in STT. The second time we got several broken bottles in a liquor-soaked box. Since then, we buy from the store inside the airport.
