Years ago I peeked over Uncle Joe's shoulder...Open Pit BBQ sauce.
Not the same as when your on Island and starved.
10 years ago after a long day of traveling (on the way to Maho in dark),the container flipped on floor of Jeep and my son wisely said 10 second rule !!
So good !!!
Is he ever around anymore ?
Unfortunately may try Candi's this year... :(
The last 2 years the have been not so gracious to us..customers are a nuisance ?
and I am very forgiving man.Always greet and try to be pleasant..
anyway... great eats.....!!!!

Reggie's ribs
Reggie's ribs
We are still UJBBQ loyalists; however, Uncle Joe's now has real (and delicious) competition on island in the name of Reggie's BBQ located adjacent to Cases By the Sea out in Coral Bay across the road from Island Blues. Yes, THE Reggie who worked for Uncle Joe's for years and then a couple of years ago disappeared has opened up his own BBQ and it is absolutely wonderful as is Reggie himself! If you are staying on the Coral Bay side of the island you are in luck and if you are staying on the western side of the island, trust me, it is worth the drive!

I've switched to Candies like the product better and she has parking.

Every year we do a taste test and get an order from Uncle Joe's and from Candies. Most times everyone prefers the smokiness of Uncle Joe's BBQ, and the sides from Candies. This year we will have to try Reggie's

I think Barefoot Cowboy Lounge has best BBQ on island. Wayne knows how to do real BBQ. The all-you-can-eat Thursdays is a steal for $20. Great atmosphere and live music from Steven on Thursdays.
