Shipping Containers
Does anyone have information on how to get a container for shipping, how to ship it, and how to get it from STT to STJ? And then what- how do you transport it on island? Do they come in different sizes? What ports do they ship from?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

Pia, Betty and others would know more about this than me but you can contact Tropical tropicalshipping.com you can load it in Miami and they will get it to STJ for you. Oscar works at the STJ office. I think you should go with a 20' container I know someone that got a 40' and it couldn't get to their location because it was too long so they had to unload in Cruz Bay and bring the items individually to their house. Congrats by the way!
Also, the vimovingcenter.com board is a lot busier than this one.

Re: Shipping Containers
We used Crowley twice because they were cheaper. We hired someone to clear it through customs in STT and bring it over and our builder unloaded it for us. Crowley was easy to deal with and everything went smoothly!
