Awesome report!!! I would love to do a solo trip but my hubby loves STJ just as much as I do so he would defintly have a problem with that. Perhaps I'll have to sneak out one night and just get on the plane

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We are 16 days away from our STJ trip and all these reports are getting us fired up.

Thanks, everyone. I'll see if I can remember the questions I saw...

Someone asked about the ferry. Well, I know some people don't consider this "ideal" for going to Jost but it was great for me. It leaves at 8:00 (ish) and we were on Jost my 9:00 (even with my customs debacle). The last ferry leaving Jost for STJ is at 3:00. Six hours isn't "enough" because nothing ever is but it really was a good amount of time. Certainly not rushed. Still, if someone had a boat and wanted to take me and hang out a couple days, I could certainly live with that! :D

Others asked about the painkillers... anytime our paths cross. Promise. I am really amazed so many stuck it out to read for so long. :)

Oh and ccasebolt- Re: the hat. I'm not even a bandwagoner- it's in my blood! ;)

Oh yeah, and tree frogs! DUH! :)

P.S. Those of you who have spouses that love the islands as much as you do I think, perhaps, have the best of both worlds. Pretty cool.

If you find that special person hold them close because they are hard to find.

I get a painkiller too! When to you plan on delivering?

I know what you are talking about when you say that everyone was nice. I've found that to be true every time we went to STT/STJ.

I was reading the report this morning while sitting in the Delta Crown Room (I do that a lot. That's how we get the plane tixs.). I finished your report and shut the computer down while I conteplated the response I would send when I had more time. I then turned my attention to the TV where they were running a Home Depot ad. That's when I realized that you and I have experienced the same thing with this forum. The tag line HD used is, "You can do it. We can help."

Great report! Thanks for sending me back to the beach for a few minutes.

I can't see your pictures from this low-tech computer at Caneel, but reading your report has helped me while away the last moments waiting for the ferry out (BOO!!!). I'm looking forward to seeing them when I am home, and reading everyone else's reports from the past few weeks too! It was nice meeting you on the 28th. You really got a lot done in your time on the island--a lot more than me and John, I have to say! :D
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
