Orchid Hill Villa
Good evening -
We are looking at this villa and wondering if it’s too windy to be in the pool on Maria Bluff to enjoy it. We stayed at a villa in upper Coral Bay a few visits ago and I couldn’t use the pool. The breeze was amazing but it made getting in the dipping pool uncomfortable. Thanks in advance.

Re: Orchid Hill Villa
We have stayed in villas on Maria Bluff, Chocolate Hole, Hart Bay and Klein Bay and the pools have always been very warm and the breeze was not a problem. Coral Bay has a reputation for being very windy and several people on another forum have reported the pools are very cool in Coral Bay. The pools in the area that I mentioned above get a lot of sun all day and are usually very warm. I think that you will enjoy a villa on Maria Bluff and it is an easy drive to Cruz Bay. Enjoy your stay.

Re: Orchid Hill Villa
My husband and I stayed at Orchid Hill many years ago. I did not know it was back on the rental market! We were there in April, and at that time, it was very breezy, but in a nice way. I remember that the pool was a little chilly, but there is an attached deeper hot tub like section that was warmer. The pool was gorgeous, with a lovely waterfall, and had the best views on the property. We stayed there so long ago that I doubt my other recollections of the property are useful at this point. (To give you an idea of how long ago, I remember that we watched the groundbreaking for Pond Bay from the porch!)
