Trip Report - Part Two

Post by CariBert »

Trip report Day 2 and 3

Not much occurred on the second or third day. You know, go into town, do all of your viddle shopping, pick up beer, booze, and ice. Those kind of hum drum things. We did go to the regular hang outs. Woody’s…..had a great sandwich, blackened Mahi-Mahi. Our first Bushwhackers, and more cold, cold, Carib!

Oh yeah, this is Kenny’s Island Office. I will not tell you how I got these pictures…..

Of course I had to go see Ruth and take a picture from the Web Cam’s view.

We then headed back to the villa to enjoy those amenities. And look at our resident iguana Image

I gotta say, our villa had some killer views.

We just sort of wasted another day (Beer in Mexico) in the pool. This is the first time we have has a pool or a villa for that matter. I was surprised how much we used it.

We also went to The Beach Bar. I really like their Limin Coconut drinks, so we got the recipe and made a batch at the villa.

That was basically it for the next couple of days. The sunsets were pretty stunning. We had to watch them while sitting on the deck drinking and listening to Kenny and Jimmy sing…..

We also had some rainbows. This was our first of the trip:

Well that just about covers the events at the villa. Upcoming in the next trip reports will be the day trips to the BVI’s and some snorkeling tales. Hint: Soloman is a beautiful beach!

Beautiful shot of the rainbow.

I have never been to Woodys for some reason. I'll have to check it out next trip since I keep reading people comment favorably on the food. I thought it was more of a bar (not that there's anything wrong with that! :D ).
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Hey Bert! Glad you had a great time at Calypso Del Sol. We thought it was a great place. Just perfect.

Can you post the recipe for the drink you are talking about?

Here is the recipe:

For 1 Drink:
• 1.5 oz Coconut Rum
(light or dark rum can be substituted)
• 2 oz Rose's Lime Juice
• 1 oz Coco Lopez
• 1/2 slice of lime
• Splash of Sprite (optional)
• Slice of Lime Garnish)
Put all ingredients in a blender. Add 1 glass of ice. Blend till smooth. You can add a dash of Sprite or simple syrup to sweeten and/or to make blending easier if it is too thick. We get the most compliments on the Lime and Coconuts that we make with Sprite, and the lime in the blender is very important

Wonderful.

I always think the best trips are followed by trip reports of a whole bunch of NOTHING. Sounds like my kind of vaca.

Looking forward to your BVI report.
