Off Topic- VA or DC folks, I have a question

I have a dear fried that has to move to the DC are ain 2 months. Her husband works for the government and they would like to be outside the city.
If you know of any nice areas not too far out of the city, could you send me a PM?
She is frantic and could really use a little help.
