Passport Requirement

It looks like you will not need a passport in the future to travel to the USVI. Here is the goverment web site on this:

Q. Will travelers from U.S. territories need to present a passport to enter the United States?

No. These territories are a part of the United States. U.S. citizens returning directly from a U.S. territory are not considered to have left the U.S. territory and do not need to present a passport. U.S. territories include the following: Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Swains Island and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.



I myself will continue to travel with a passport. It just makes life soooooo much easier.

We put in for our pasports a couple weeks back. My major concern was if I was in the USVI's and something happened that I couldn't get back home with out one.....Hmmm on second thought being stuck in St John for good ain't bad
