Avatars

Post by Connie »

I've tried doing a search for avatars (which i never heard of before) on this forum, but i didn't see anything that tell you how you can get one. Except for the ones that available on this forum, is there a place where you can get them free?

I cant remember the name of the site, but I did a search for "free avatars" and did find a site with many to choose from. Make sure you get one that's 50x50 in size.

Or, you can just choose one of your own photos to use. Ali~

I wanted to use one of my photos (Mine is of John and me at Fenway Park, the one and only time we had seats in the front row...so far, anyway.), but I could not figure out how to make my avatar photo small enough to fit into Anthony's size guidelines, so I emailed it to California Girl, who adjusted it for me. You could ask her for help, and I bet she'd lend you a hand! (I hope you don't mind that I volunteered you, CG!)
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

You can use your own photo by resizing it to 50 X 50 pixels at the most. You then go to your Profile and upload it!

It you need more etailed instructions on how to resize just let me know!

Even before I read liamsaunt's post, I was going to volunteer to help you. I sent you a PM with my e-mail address. Just e-mail me your photo and I'll send you back an avatar! :D

So, CG, will you help me if I need it?
I was thinking of changing mine too.
I'm getting tired of the yellow tang.

Thanks sunlover!

I was able to shrink a picture using this site and with any luck it should show up.

http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ is terrific! Thanks so much for suggesting it, sunlover. Now I can finally have my favorite bird as my avatar! :D

But - the suspense is killing me - I can't see it in the preview. Will it work?
