Heading down towards Memphis,TN this afternoon so the hubby can race in the St. Jude Marathon on Saturday. I'm looking to forward to visiting Elvis's stomping grounds tomorrow.

May be driving back in 3-6 inches of the white stuff!

Wish him luck!

Have a great time. I lived in memphis for most of my life, parents live there, etc. Be sure to try The Rendevous Restaurant if you can. its across from the Peabody Hotel in Downtown Memphis. The Graceland area is not that great a part of town. Have fun!

Funny this topic was brought up. I was watching T.V. the other morning and a gentleman by the name of Mr. Lansky was being interviewed from the Peabody Hotel. Apparently he outfitted the King. Saw a really neat sweater Elvis used to wear and I ordered it for my hubby for xmas. It arrived today and is gorgeous.

Well, Juice (the hubby) successfully completed the St. Jude Marathon in Memphis on Saturday with a record breaking time (for him!). His official time was 2:58:44 and his goal was to do it in under 3 hours. I've never seen him so energized after a race before! He ended up 49th overall with a total of 1961 runners.

We had a good trip and the people of memphis were so nice - even my nine year old commented on how nice everyone was!
