It's so cold here........

Post by ScubaGirl »

I had to book my plane tickets for our Dec. 08, two week, trip. We leave home on Wed. Dec 3rd, and arrive home on Sat. Dec. 20th.

I only booked as far as New York, with Air Canada Aeroplan points, only 15000 each. and I'm going to wait for a really good price from New York to STT.

Just doing that will get me thru the next week of -30 temperatures.

C, but when it's that cold, does it really matter?

That cold ( minus ANYTHING - F or C ) seems like science fiction to me - I just can't imagine that.

Some of you people are TOUGH!

You deserve a trip to somewhere where it's warm.

Oh yeah, that's the whole point...

bbbrrrrrrr. You deserve even longer. I can't imagine. I whine (loudly) when it gets down to zero. I'll think warm thoughts and send them your way. Ali~

ScubaGirl,
I feel your pain, mind you we are only at -20ish with the wind chill, but it is a blizzard out there today.

Looks like we will be shovelling our way in tonight

Keep warm

Valley's of Vermont / New Hamp will get that cold
-30 is about the same in F /C

you know its cold at that temp when the hairs in your nose freeze as you walk the half mile to high school. I'll even "date" myself back in early 70's we had a month when it never got above 10 during the day and at night -20 to -40

that is something I always wanted to do. step out of my cabin in the woods to my hot tub with a steaming cup of kicked up coffee or Champagne, I accept either, climb in the tub and have the snow start falling. perfect.

MARYBETH,

A strange thing happens when we drink Champagne in the Hot Tub, it disappears really fast

We figure it is some strange evaporation

getting out of the tub isn't the problem its the sprint from the door to it toget in when you get out you are so warm you never feel it just have to make sure you go out first with clothes on to get the snow off the cover
