We stayed at the Holiday Inn one night a few years ago prior to going over to St. John. It was fine for one night and we'd recommend it for convenience of walking around downtown for shopping the next day. We weren't too familiar with downtown CA and asked the front desk where to eat; they suggested the Frenchtown area too. However, I do remember we had trouble finding places to eat. Its been a few years, I can't remember if it was a Sunday night or not, but we walked around awhile and ended up coming back to the Green House which is on the other side of the Holiday Inn from where we'd started. So.... just get good directions to where you're going and maybe call to make sure places are open.

Yes, on Sunday nights the pickings are slim! Craig and Sally's and Oceana are the only two. Margarita Phil's is iffy. You do need to check and make sure.

We'll be there on a Friday night, so no worries there!
