Any coin collectors?

Post by Xislandgirl »

My grandmother left me some old coins and I have no idea if they have any valuable above the face value.
It is hard to find any info online that I trust and I don't understand all the grading, but one looks to be slightly rare so I am curious.

I have a red book for US coins. It's a price guide for coins. If it's a US coin I can look it up.
There are some OK websites. I'll see if I can find them.

PM me and I can make an introduction to someone who is a serious grader and dealer with a good reputation.

I have found that the bulk of them are worth about $20 bucks a piece but the one that I am curious about is a 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar. It is pretty dirty looking but it looks to be uncirculated, as far as I can tell, but I know nothing.

Very Fine is $17 to $18.

Definition of very fine - Two thirds of hair lines from top of forehead to ear visible. Ear well defined. Feathers on eagles breast well worn.

Searching past auctions on ebay will give you a good idea of what people are paying for certain coins.
