Thanks jmq! It was a lucky shot, that's for sure! I'd like to enter it in a contest, but I just haven't had time to look for one yet. There's always the county fair next year, I suppose! :D

The pollen really shows up on his face when you see it larger, so I think I'm going to get an 11x14 printed and frame it up (I was a picture framer for 20 yrs. so I have a few ideas!) :D

Not mine, but since this is an animal loving thread, y'all might appreciate them.

My most recent rescue - the breeder left him to die and I took him on. After 5 months and lots of dollars and TLC, I got to give this little guy to a loving home today:

That was this morning. This afternoon, I found this poor baby on the way home. She obviously has mange, is emaciated, and I had to literally pry her collar out of her skin (it was embedded). I guess the cycle begins again:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/42427255@N00/2900114683/" title="And then found this one on the way home this afternoon....sigh. by Vicki_H, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3138/290 ... 10e0da.jpg" width="500" height="348" alt="And then found this one on the way home this afternoon....sigh."></a>

I never cease to be amazed at how cruel people can often be...and how much animals continue to love us despite it.

Vicki,
I think that, in a very real way, they are your's!

I agree with CG - thanks for being so good to these animals. And like you said, their capacity to love humans, after being mistreated so badly by them, is amazing.

Vicki- The face on your foster dog is so precious! What breed is he? I get too attached to foster…I’m so glad other people can handle it. It is hard enough for me to clean cages and not take everybody home with me. Last week at the shelter I had 19 cats out at the same time in a fairly small room and they all got along great and played with each other…though I was unable to convince my husband that we should have 19 at our house.

Great picture, CG! Vicki, the first puppy is SO cute. It is so nice of you to take in the poor little guys.

TR - not sure which one you are asking about. The little guy is a yorkie mix. The other appears to me to be a border collie mix.

I was talking about the little guy...I thought he was part Yorkie but couldn't figure out what else. I think he's the cutest dog I've ever seen!

The Yorkie looks like a dog that a toy company would use as inspiration for a plush toy or something! So cute!
