My husband and I are headed down to STT on October 29th, we've heard STT is a little scary at night and to keep close track of your valuables... or to not bring any at all. How accurate is that, and do people mean that the whole island is that way or just certain areas? I've also been told STJ could potentially be a safer, more laid back option for us. We're both servers and are super flexible as far as work goes so that's not necessarily an issue... anyone have an opinion?

Also, any suggestions for a reliable bank for relocation to STT or STJ?

I don't have any suggestions for STT banks but I want to recommend that you check out this blog and shoot either Jay or Deb a Private message here. They made the move to STT recently and they are a wealth of knowledge.
