Bruce at the Bowl

Post by jmq »

Announced yesterday that Springsteen and E Street band to perform at halftime show of Super Bowl on Feb. 1 in Tampa.

My initial reaction is mixed: hey, that's pretty cool to jeez Bruce, what's next, American Idol? Although its gotta be better than some of the cringe inducing stuff they've had in the past.

Since every aspect of the game is bet upon, I wonder if we'll see set-list betting pools. I suppose they will do a medley of 3-4 songs...Glory Days and Born to Run anybody?

When I heard that yesterday, I thought about all of the fans here on the forum. I wondered what the reaction would be. The half time shows have been pretty disappointing lately. I just figure it can't be any worse than the Rolling Stones were. I like the Stones, but... well... Oh, I can't even think of words for it!

Bruce? Great concerts that's for sure. He's doing a concert for Obama this Saturday in Philly, but all acoustic (no thanks). I like the old Bruce. Great performer.

Jorge, Jorge, Jorge...I have to stick up for my fav KC. I judge him on the concerts and he's amazing. Must be doing something right with how many people he draws.

And OH NO!! Not Urban, he's unbelievable and he CAN sing.

OK, he does sound better than KC or Urban. I'll give ya that. I saw KC going to court on a documentary this weekend with no hat on. That boy is balder than me. Wonder if he sits on a phone book to ride around the rock. Boy I'm mean.
