Again consider the source. Google Jill Stanek and you'll find her not as impartial as one may wish to believe. She is fervently pro-life. Could that cloud her judgement.

Here I'll give the executive summary:
Media outlets have quoted or cited criticism of Sen. Barack Obama by anti-abortion activist and WorldNetDaily columnist Jill Stanek without citing relevant facts that undermine her credibility, including her suggestion that domestic violence is acceptable against women who have abortions, her support of billboards in Tanzania with the words "Faithful Condom User" next to a picture of a large skeleton, and her citation of a report that "aborted fetuses are much sought after delicacies" in China to which she added, "I think this stuff is happening."

I am with Obama on this one. As he said in your quoted text, "Because if these are children who are being born alive, I, at least, have confidence that a doctor who is in that room is going to make sure that they’re looked after."

Has there been a rare exception to this? Possibly. But much like you argue that incest, rape and life of the mother are rare enough to be disregarded, I'll stick with the logic in my bones that tells me a man who is the father to two beautiful young women is not pro- baby killing.

Stanek testified that as many as 20% were left to die. Not 3%. In my view 1/10 of 1 percent of botched abortion babies being left to die is too many.

And how 'bout Obama..."If there's some indication that they're not just coming out limp and dead".

That's the "compassionate left"? I'll have none of that, thank you.

I question your source and her testimony. You can testify that Obama is a socialist. Doesn't make it true.

She has an agenda. Plain and simple. Even the sponsor of the legislation says that no one who voted against it did so because they support infanticide.

I choose to believe him as well.

When a pro-life legislator and fox news can't convince you I am pretty sure its a lost cause here my friend.

You know, I was done with this this morning. But you called me out personally, so I had to respond.

This is typical of the left. When someone doesn't agree with their views, or raises tough questions about Obama, it's on to the character assasination. Screw the message, lets kill the messanger.

Just like Joe the Plumber - "He has no license". No he doesn't, he practices under his boss' license like thousands of other trade workers.

Jill Stanek - "she's a right wing pro-life loon"

News channel 9 in Orlando - "Cut them off! Cancel Jill Biden's interview with them! No more contact with the Obama campaign...Besides thet reporter's husband works for the republicans!"...Which BTW, isn't true

The TV station in Philadelphia that also asked tough questions of Biden - "No soup for you!"

This is par for the course - and I guess I'm getting abrasive again.

Um, no. I am perfectly ok with people reading Jill's own words and then deciding if she is credible or not.

This is a particular favorite of mine.

Her assertions have been completely debunked by multiple sources.

Well, I've checked back onto the forum and see that several of you really have spent a large portion of today right here. If you can do that on a Tuesday, you probably should take next Tuesday off, too, to support the candidate of your choice. But honestly, I would like to know what kind of jobs you have so that I could spend my day on the forum and get paid for it.

I'll be in St. John taking the day off! Already voted so I'll either toast in celebration or drown my sorrows. I suspect it will be a happy day! :P

LuLu-your point in regards to Medicaid is very valid. In some states people are allowed to keep their coverage and still work, but not in all. Reform in this area would be a truly helpful thing all around!

Hey Lex,

I work for a living believe it or not. I take USVI breaks like some take smoke or coffee breaks. Usually it is my sanity in the midst of insane days. I admit at times I get a little overly obsessed - typically when a trip is coming up or an election. Luckily after Tuesday we'll have a good 7 months until my next trip.

I often work late into the night or over the weekends, trust me my employer gets their money's worth out of me. Promise.

Best to you.

Yeah me,too, but I knew you'd keep going, Sox.

BTW, someone mentioned earlier much today that the market's slide [through yesterday], was somehow's the fault of the polls showing Obama's lead. Not that I think the polls had anything to do with it, but if they did, how do you explain todays near 900 point jump, what with virtually every poll showing the gap widening?

Since this post was about taking election day off, I thought I'd get back on here and let you know that my 11th grade daughter just told me they don't have school on election day. They're afraid of riots. WTF!!!!!!
