A passing thought. Why not combine the music capabilities of the iPod with a cell phone, GPS, camera, etc. etc. and look into the iPhone. The prices for the iPod and iPhone are very similar and the service for the iPhone is probably about the same as for your Blackberry.

My vote goes to La Plancha del Mar. It is run by three guys that do everything, and they do it well! It is located on the second floor of the building that the Starfish Market is in. It was the best meal I have had on SJX.
Go there for great food and service, there is no view.

In Florida there is no law against using a handheld cell or even texting while driving. It is really a pet peeve of mine! It is not teen-agers that I see with a cellphone in their ear while making a turn at the traffic light, but people over 30. Would a law help? Probably not! We have a recent law m...

There seems to be a strong consensus not to go alone. I would add my vote to that. Face it, it just would not be much fun alone. I can readily see going without the kids, but without the wife; no way! Being on STJ alone just does not seem like much fun and you know it would not be the same as it wou...

I discovered that Mac computers are smart enough to recognize new pictures on the iPhone and simply will import them just as if from a regular digital camera using iPhoto.
Good info however for importing to a PC.

Welcome to the forum, Digital!

With a 4:10 arrival it will depend a lot on luck if you can make the 5 PM ferry. However, since you do not plan to pick up a car until Monday, a later ferry should not interfere with your plans. Personally, I like the CA ferry to avoid the ride to Red Hook but as pointed out, the CA ferry is pretty ...

I'm a 'whatever'. Flying sucks anymore anyway and it is not all due to delays for security. It is charges to check a bag that results in more carryons which results in slower boarding and deboarding. Add to this that some airlines say to be there 3 hrs before boarding; and, for no reason that I have...

I can identify with the guilt of boarding an animal. We used to have a black Lab that would pout for a week after being picked up.

For me, it is not any one thing but it the whole, the essence of St John. You feel it as soon as you step off the ferry, a soothing of the soul, a freeing of the psyche. I have had better burgers than Skinny's, and have seen deeper and wider beaches than Trunk; but no where have I felt what I feel o...

We have rented from St John Car rental for the past few years. They are an easy walk from the ferry dock, are friendly, professional, and offer parking. That being said about parking, sometimes it is a challenge since their lot is not as large as some. We always rent jeeps and they are in good shape...

I am not sure why unhooking the bracelet works but it does! I was told to do that by a security person leaving St Croix years ago and have done it every since with no problem. However, one time that I forgot to unhook it, the alarm did go off.
Makes one less thing to remove and put back on.

I would return it if at all possible. I have had a SS hook bracelet that I got on St. Croix 5-6 years ago. I wear it most of the time. Has never tarnished. It did take a hit when I wore it in a clorinated pool but shined back up with a sliver polishing cloth. It would seem that even sliver plated sh...
