Okay, so finished Sarah's Key. Ended up being quite disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed the first third/half. Two inter-twining stories...one in 1942 France and one in 2002 France. The stories were interesting and wove together well. However, once it was revealed how the stories were linked, the book...

Ha ha ha. I guess I am a bad liar! Yes, I did not start a new job this year. Wish I did...my company went through a merger and it has been an horrendous year. I did run the Chicago marahon (in 85 degree weather). Sign-up for 2011 started Tuesday...husband is pushing for it. Me? I am not so sure I am...

Just got through reading Atonement. I found the book at many times to be slow and boring...just hard to get through. While the writing was very good, I think (for me) got in the way of the story - too much descriptive language and not enough story at times. About half-way through Sarah's Key. LOVE IT.

Liamsaunt - thanks for the comment on Cutting for Stone...I will keep your comments in mind reading the opening of the book. As I recall, one of the reasons I selected Never Let Me Go was a recommendation on this forum from you :) That book was one of the few books that I found myself thinking about...

Thank you for sharing and I sincerely hope the worst of it is behind you...forever. And thank you for reminding us of to remember what is truly important. In the past 12 months both my husband (just about your age Lysa) and mother have been hospitlized via the ER...giving us all quite a scare (all d...

In appreciation of this, I will share what I have been reading recentl...

Terry, Wasn't that match great? Wow. I missed the women's final, but the Serena's semi-final match was outstanding, too. I am a big tennis fan and play regularly (though I am not playing quite as much as Kellyanna...Kellyanna where do you find that much time for 8 leagues!). I am currently rated a 4...
