We have been using the Sheraton airport hotel for several years when we fly out of Newark. Park and Fly program is reasonable, and similar to others in shuttle ride to the airport. The hotel is BIG and rooms were everything needed for an overnight. Car left in lot convenient and safe for the duration.

Thanks Chet! This is my son's neighborhood so I am taking notes. I am not familiar w/ Bis or Johnny's so put them on my list for an upcoming visit. Like the live entertainment that Johnny's occasionally offers. Been to Blues Alley, (NOT to eat) and always check their schedule when we are coming to t...

I meant to mention that we took a tour at The Capitol this last trip in Oct. and found it quite interesting. I did a tour a few years back w/ my sister's rep aide guiding us and now that the new visitors center is available it was an even more enlightening experience. We took a secondary tour into t...

I am sure there are other perspectives from DC/VA/MD locals, but this is a visitors view. My son is in grad school in DC so we have had a couple visits in the last 1+ year. We drive down so can't offer advise on which airport so others will chime in on that I am sure. Once we get where ever we are s...

Sincere condolences on your losses. A cruise sounds like a good idea. You can do as little or as much as you personally want to. Definitely use Cruise Critics port of call resource! In Mexico we opted to go to Tulum to check out the ruins which we enjoyed. Another time we did a boat trip to go snork...

In the Garden View category we stayed in room 160 and were very pleased with it. The room itself was perfectly acceptable in size and had a lovely large bathroom w/ stone shower that was unique . You enter the room from one end and have a little deck area on the opposite end overlooking the hillside...

I am a 3+ year breast cancer survivor and can completely identify with the anxiety and stress involved at this stage of your diagnosis, and upcoming procedures. I went on an anti-depressant for a while to help me cope with all of the issues that one must face as you make your way thru the process. I...

Linda, my view was from NJ, the sky was as clear and bright as I have ever seen it. Gorgeous, bright full moon all evening into the night, millions of stars, just as clear as could be. I awoke around 3:30 AM to find the view in your 2nd pic. The sky was still surprisingly bright but the moon was tha...

I am using a blended mix of sea salt, sugar, orange peel, rosemary, etc...that will be dissolved into a gallon of veggie stock that I made over the weekend. I'll add a gallon of ice water and brine over night. Once I remove it from the brine I plan on roasting the turkey w/ a method I saw on Country...
