Need Villa Advice

Post by Travelling Wilbury »

Longtime lurker first time poster here. My family and I have a list of 8 villas and need advice or comments on the following to narrow down the list:
Pink Conch
Bombalassy
Villa Del Sol
LaCollina
Blue Tang
Hibiscus Gardens
Sea Cruz
Eaglesnest
This will be our third visit and we prefer to be in the Great Cruz Bay area and at least 2 of the bedrooms must be accessed through the interior (for our young daughter). Our budget is up to $3,000 off-season (not incl the 10% VI tax).
Any advice or comments?

I agree, too many to have comments on because they are all very different.
I think your best bet is to narrow it down and then ask for advice on the finalists.

LaCollina was a bit long in the tooth when we stayed there 9 years ago. If you want equal bedrooms the lower two are not equivalent to the upper two bedrooms.
Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.

Thanks for the responses.
Looking back I realize the list is quite long. Sorry.
I think we can narrow it down to Villa Del Sol, Eaglesnest, Hibiscus Gardens and Blue Tang.
Any pro or cons?

I only personally know Blue Tang so here are my thoughts
Villa Del Sol: Still looks to me like a Westin Hotel room
Eaglesnest: I am not a fan of the wood paneling. I know, so trivial to some but there is no way I could look at that all week
Hibiscus Gardens: The view is not to my liking
Blue Tang: I am a fan of the location and the view

Hi Xislandgirl,
Dumb questions but I was told to ask. In the pictures on Blue Tang's website (Catered To) it appears that there are no curtains or TVs in the bedrooms. Is this accurate?

Here's another that you may want to look at - we stayed there in April. PM me if any questions.

I would ask Catered To about the curtains and tv's....curtains I would imagine have to be there, but tv's not necessarily.
all you have to do is smile, smile, smile
