I am sorry to hear this sad news. Mr. Benjamin touched many living on the island and many who share the love of his beloved virgin. I never met him; I wish that I had. I know that he will be missed.

so sorry to hear that. We had gone by his place last year several times to get an autographed copy of his book, but never did get to meet him.

Wow, so very sad. He had an amazing life. He was always very kind when we would chat with him. His book is a must for St. John lovers; time to re-read and reflect on a life well lived.

Cheers, RickG

Sad but wonderful that he was blessed with 98 years.

RIP Mr. Benjamin.
Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.

My husband is a teacher and we were fortunate to get to spend some time with him at his home last spring. He was already ailing but had many wonderful stories to share. We are grateful for all that he did for the children of the VI's and the impact he had on so many people. We treasure the book he gave us.

Mr Benjamin article in Caribbean Travel and Life website

Post by neisyb »

I posted this on another forum and will do so here as well. There is a great article about Mr. Benjamin on the Caribbean Travel and Life website. I did a search on there and brought up the article. Well worth the read!
