I recommend Bob at Tropical Focus:
http://www.tropicalfocus.com

We've used him twice and have had great experiences (and photographs) both times. The first time we did a shoot at the Westin, while the second time was at Cinnamon (ruins and beach). If you visit the "portraits" section of his website, you'll see a picture of my daughters (hands on their faces). They think they're famous on St. John because Bob has used their photos on his advertisement inserts in the villa books!

Anyway, Bob is creative and professional and works quickly. Additionally, his prices are very fair. We plan to use him again this November.

Besides Bob, some other names that have been mentioned on this forum previously that you might look into are:

Steve Simonsen

Sage Parker

Yelena Rogers

Sadly, I have had no personal experience with any of these.

Loverotties.....It's too bad I won't be down there until October or I would have taken your pictures for you. I'm a photographer and bringing my camera with me this trip to get some scenic shots. I hope you find one.

I have not had Steve Simonsen take portraits for me, but I took a photography class from him. I learned a great deal from him in the few short hours of the course and would have complete confidence that he would do a great job on portraits. And, he's a really nice guy.

I'd suggest William Torillo, http://www.oldmango.com/.

He is quite imaginative, creative and inventive.
