Thanks for all the great villa ideas - I've seen some here I've either forgotten about or had never seen at all.

Some really blow me away - and some prices blow me farther away!

It's great to see what everyone likes.

Iowaguy,
I found this about Beyond The Sea
THIS VILLA IS NO LONGER ON THE RENTAL MARKET. It was for sale while we stayed there. So I guess perhaps it sold. It was a great location!

Still searching . . .

Thanks patr---I was thinking about Beyond the Sea recently as a possibilty for our 2009 trip. Guess that one won't work.

This is a fun topic. Maybe someone ambitious can organize a post around different villa award categories: best pool, best villa for 2, best value, most interesting bathroom, etc.

I'd be curious if anyone has stayed at Maria Breeze. It was the house above us at Indigo this last trip. Looked like it had a cool porch, great view, somewhat more reasonable prices.

Have been staying at villas on St John since 1995 and having a rough time remembering them all, as some have been sold and are no longer being rented.

Vistaero -- would love to go back with family
Beausoleil( now St John Stonehouse)
Villa Da Vida ( now Kenny's house in Chocolate
Hole and is up for sale)
Cinnamon Tarn (3 times- still our favorite)
2B Peter Bay ( we were married there and stayed
for a week)
Island Sun ( had our reception there and
stayed for another week)
Idyllic -- great with kids, super pool area
Gatehouse at Peter Bay (upper)
Valentine ( no longer being rented)
Anole -- killer view also
Villa Capiz -- opposite killer view
Caneel -- grounds and beaches are my favorite
Westin -- VIP Townhouse great for kids
Gallows Point --DH really enjoys
Nautilus -- great house for the money
Sol Inclination --view is to die for but cant
compare with Catherineberg
Oleander -- sooo very romantic

Short list:
Sago Palms
Le Chateau
Splendore
Spellbound

I think I can remember them all: Siempre Azul, Westin & Jasmine, Unicorn by the Sea, Surfside, Cygnus, and the past 4 trips have been to Sunnyledge. I think my favorite is obvious! There are so many things I love about Sunnyledge, but probably the main reason I keep going back is that lack of other villas nearby. I don't like to stand out on my deck and see other houses. Sunnyledge delivers that and more.

Just over a week now and I'll be staying at Sunnyledge for a 5th time. Yay!

Paloma Blanca
Cocotier
Sago Cottage
Rainbow Beach Villa

For two- Sago Cottage.
Awesome views, huge hottub, outdoor shower, private!

For family/group- Paloma Blanca.
Maybe cuz it was my first time there but the views are amazing! It's off the beaten path off of Giftt Hill too. A "charming" dirt road drive. Very quiet & private. Great landscaping too.

I liked that Rainbow Beach Villa was on a flat road in a quiet neighborhood right on Johnson Bay but the house is really outdated and needs a fix-up.

Hubby and I are looking at some smaller places for just the two of us (and fitting our budget) but just might return to Sago Cottage. I love the idea of Kiddle Bay cottage but it's pretty far out there!

La Sirena in Salt Pond is cozy for a couple. Nice outdoor bar and grill area as well as a pool.

However Seaglass is a real gem. A Beautiful house, the art inside is wonderful. Multiple deck levels, nice pool, and the view from the 90 jet hot tub is inspiring.

South Shore Villa

It's a "high end' 4 bedroom, bordering the USVI National Park with 270 degree views, piece of heaven. Absolutely perfect!
